@spasse20 Maybe that's because in Haiti the earthquake epicenter was IN a town, while in Japan it was off the coast, creating tsunamis to do the damage rather than actually toppling buildings itself.

it's incredible that so many of the buildings were able to stay intact. when it came to architecture. they were prepare. Although the quake was worse than the one in Haii. There seems to be much, much less signigicant damage in the infrastructure
